Brooms & Blessings
For more than three decades, I have dedicated my professional life to education, serving as a teacher in Baltimore County Public Schools and as a Lead Facilitator at the Hussman Center for Adults with Autism at Towson University. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about fostering growth, creativity, and connection within the communities I serve.
As a creator, I bring that same spirit to the art of traditional broom making. Working from my home in Parkton, Maryland, where I have lived for over 30 years, I create handcrafted brooms that blend utility, craftsmanship, and artistic expression. Using natural materials and time-honored techniques, each piece is thoughtfully constructed to honor the rich heritage of this enduring folk art tradition.
My work reflects an appreciation for the beauty of handmade objects and the stories they carry. Influenced by a lifelong commitment to teaching, learning, and preserving traditional skills, I seek to create pieces that evoke a sense of warmth, authenticity, and connection.
I am also the proud mother of two daughters, whose encouragement and support continue to inspire my creative journey.
