Manor Mill is committed to welcoming all visitors to our historic venue. We recognize that with a building constructed before the revolution, there are certain accessibility limitations as with any historic property. We want to provide clear information to help you plan your visit.
Manor Mill is a historic building spanning multiple levels without elevator access. Outdoor gravel pathways connect each level of the Mill, but these paths are uneven and can be challenging for wheelchair users and those with mobility limitations. While the gravel surface poses difficulties for some visitors, our staff can provide guidance on the most accessible routes to specific event spaces when you arrive.
Accessible parking is on the first level along the fence in front of the Mill. On the second level, up the gravel driveway, there is an additional designated parking space. Please note that neither of these spaces are paved. If you need accessible parking, please call ahead at (410) 842-5590 and we will make sure those spots are reserved for your arrival.
The first floor of Manor Mill is accessible via a brick-paved walkway leading to the gift shop entrance. The first floor bathroom also features an accessible urinal. There is one small step located in the hallway before the bathroom entrance.
The second-floor gallery, kitchen, classroom, and accessible restroom can all be conveniently reached by parking on the second level and following the brick pathway to the exterior kitchen entrance.
To reach the third-floor gallery and loft without using stairs, guests may walk or drive around to the back of the Mill via the gravel path between the Mill and the Miller’s House. A ramp at the rear of the building provides access to the loft’s back porch, though please note that the slope leading up to the porch requires assistance for wheelchair users. From the porch, guests can enter the loft and continue through to the third-floor gallery. An accessible restroom is also available in the loft.
