Joyce Lister graduated from Bennington College as an art major, specializing in woodcuts and sculpture. She now works exclusively in pastels, creating paintings that reflect her travels and interest in nature, people and animals. Her works have an impressionistic quality and her color choices and personal style serve to evoke a mood, or capture a moment. Joyce's pastel paintings have been accepted into regional, national and international juried shows and have won a number of awards and prizes. Her pastels have been exhibited widely in solo and group shows and are held in private collections across the country.
