Gary Lippincott

Gary Lippincott

Gallery Artist

In this increasingly digital age when images are more frequently painted with pixels than paint, Gary Lippincott remains an illustrator’s illustrator. His fantasy and faerie themed artwork represent his mastery of a vibrance and depth only possible in the traditional watercolor medium. Beyond their physical beauty, there is always a richness of storytelling present. His artwork has the style of old world craftsmanship often found in folk and fairy tales. His delicate, highly detailed watercolors can be found in children’s picture books, on book covers, calendars and tarot decks. His work has been featured in prominent fantasy and science fiction publications and on labels for imported beers and ales. His art hangs in galleries and has been purchased by collectors worldwide. Gary has received numerous awards including 3 Chesleys and nominations for both a Hugo and World Fantasy award. His artwork has also appeared in many editions of Spectrum Annual and has been shown at their “Best Of” show three times at the Society of Illustrators Museum in New York City. He currently resides in the woods of Central Massachusetts. GaryLippincott.com
