For as long as I can remember I have been recording my visions into art. These images and ideas are always a venture in creativity whether recording real life or pulling from memories and dreams. I am a painter, illustrator, and muralist and I employ a wide variety of techniques to form a finished piece of work. Primarily a painter mostly on canvas, I work with oils and acrylics, but have always enjoyed the challenge of working in large format. At some point in1994, I ventured into Mural works and haven’t stopped—completing dozens of works ranging in size and subject matter—painted in private homes to businesses. As a full-time artist I spend my days in the studio or at job sites, but inspiration comes from many places and being out in nature is key for me. While traveling internationally or locally, I focus on nature and the outdoors. The journey takes me to wonderful cultures with exotic creatures and all sorts of fishing ventures which influences my scope of art. Filling sketchbooks and photographing references is a constant along the way through this lifestyle/ career. The inner drive to do my craft is never boring and it’s always fulfilling when clients purchase art and people comment while gazing on a large wall that’s being transformed. I believe that art makes the heart beat for all cultures and am grateful to be immersed in it by not only making public art but running galleries and making artist destinations and scenes happen whereever I live.
