Crimes of the Heart by Beth Henley
Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling
Seminar by Theresa Rebeck
The scenes will be drawn randomly from a hat; then MMPH Company member Mike Byrne (Our Town) will cast the scenes from volunteers attending the Masterclass. After the first reading of each scene, Mike will offer some tips and suggestions before the cast presents the scene again. Mike is an experienced director with a long history of directing in small theatres around Baltimore. Masterclass regulars might remember him from our November 2025 Actor Scene Study.
Volunteers hoping to be cast can prepare by reading the plays in advance, but it is not necessary to participate. Please note, depending on the number of scenes we are able to work within the evening, and number of actors present, not everyone may have the opportunity to read.
