Join us for a fun and relaxing workshop creating the bird(s) of your choice in Panpastel. Beginning with a one-hour demo, learn to how to mix color in PanPastel, application techniques, how to achieve luminous light effect and so much more. The demo will explain how a loose block in sets up the focal point for a painterly end result. There will be plenty of time at your easel with instruction and uninterrupted time to create. Everyone will leave the workshop with a finished pastel painting or two.
If you own PanPastel, please feel free to bring what you have as well, but the price includes the use of the instructor's PanPastels and applicators. Attendees are encouraged to work from their own photos, so bring a few of your favorite bird photos to choose from. (digital photos are fine, too). Panpastel works on many different types of paper. Your instructor will be demonstrating on Clairefontaine Pastel Grain.
This workshop is suitable for beginners, ages 18 and up.
