Nancy's preferred medium is oil paint on linen boards. She has competed in many fast-paced juried and non-juried plein air events, sometimes having only 2-3 hours to choose a subject, complete the painting, and have it framed for the competition. Nancy's interest in Plein Air painting has evolved over the past seven years. In a transition from realism, Plein Air has provided the perfect vehicle for expressing her love of the outdoors and awareness of nature. The success of Nancy's work is the result of not only her interpretation of the ever-changing natural surroundings, but of her use of lush colors, and the freedom of brushwork and her palette knife. Nancy earned a Bachelor of Arts from Notre Dame College. She has taken numerous classes and workshops at locations including Zoll Studio in Baltimore, and The Torpedo Factory and Yellow Barn, both in Virginia. IG: @nancykfine

Winter is right around the corner, so let’s get our “snow vibe” going with a watercolor painting of a gentle snowfall in the pine forest! This workshop will use a monochromatic palette to create a forest structure that is distinct in the foreground and melts into the distance through the falling snow. We’ll use Bleed Proof opaque white in a fun and classic technique of splattering our forest with fresh white snow. All materials are provided, including hot cider!Intended for ages 13+

Only eight years ago, Nancy considered what activities she might choose to fill her hours once she retired from a 40-year career in real estate. She is a long-time resident of Northern Baltimore County, Maryland. She has taken numerous classes and workshops. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Notre Dame College.
Watercolor Artist Kas Rohm enjoys creative realism in her watercolors, often with the use of waterproof ink to bring out the details. Living most of her life not far from the Manor Mill Gallery, Kas finds inspiration from the local community and environment, often infusing a splash of whimsy into her paintings and illustrations.
